How to film for Kairos

At Kairos, we have traditionally used a Sunday worship service close to Thanksgiving to invite the community to share their gratitude for the ways they have seen God at work in their lives. On Sunday, Nov 22nd, we are excited to again invite both kids and adults to name why they are thankful.

But because the 22nd is also the final Sunday of our sermon series “Ordinary Blessings”, we will frame our time of sharing by naming how the beatitude “blessed are the peacemakers” can shape our gratitude with purpose. This framing need not impact how or what you share, but my prayer is it encourages us to see how the act of thanksgiving is more than just remembering how the Lord has been with us, gratitude toward God is what gives us the courage and faith to be people of peace in a broken world.

Here are the video instructions. Once you have filmed please upload the files to your google drive or another file-sharing site and share them with Matthewcstraw@gmail.com

If you need help with google drive or dropbox please email or call Matthew. I’m happy to assist! (706)537-3205

Thank you so much!

Top three tips: Clean your lens, Film horizontally, Choose a quiet place.

Lighting: Most light should come from behind or beside the camera and light your face. Try not to be in front of light sources like windows or lamps.

Tripod: Keep your phone stationary the entire time. See the image above if you need a quick and easy tripod.

Have fun, be real!
