Sunday Mornings

  • We currently have in-person programming for infants through 5th graders each Sunday morning during our worship service. Preschool, elementary, and preteen children participate in the first part of the worship service with their families before leaving for Kairos Kids. See more information on the Preschool and Elementary tabs below.

  • Welcome

We look forward to welcoming your family to worship and kidsā€™ programming each Sunday morning. All children, including those with special developmental needs or health concerns, are welcome. The worship service begins at 10:00am. We hope the following information will help you know what to expect for your first visit.

  • Check-In

When you enter our main doors, you will be welcomed by our greeters. Just to your left, you will find our family welcome desk. One of our family greeters will help you register your child(ren), provide you with nametag and pick-up stickers, and for younger children, show you to their rooms and introduce you to their leaders.

  • Worship

Children of all ages are welcome to participate in our worship services. Kairos Kids programming is provided for children, infants through 2's, during the entire service. Preschool children participate with their families in the first part of the worship service before leaving for Kairos Kids, usually between the 2nd and 3rd songs. Children, kindergarten and older, remain with their parents in the worship service through the offering before being leaving with their leaders for an interactive large group time and small group time.Ā See the information below regarding Kairos Kids programming for each age group.

Activities designed to help children participate in the worship service are available.

A Mothersā€™ Room is provided just off the sanctuary gathering space. Diaper changing supplies, a bottle warmer, and gliders are available in this calm, private space where moms can attend to the needs of their infants and listen to the service. Additional gliders are located in the back of the sanctuary.

3 Basic Truths

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

Infants/Crawlers

Children are welcome join their peers and leaders in the Infant group once they are at least 8 weeks old. Through developmentally-appropriate music, stories, play, and TLC, children are introduced to Jesus. Our experienced leaders provide the physical and emotional care the infants need and partner with parents to get to know each child. When checking their child into the Infant room, parents complete a My Day card, indicating feeding and napping schedules and routines. Throughout the session, leaders update each childā€™s card to ensure parents know about their childā€™s time with us. Please bring a bag with diapers, wipes, bottles, bibs, a change of clothes, and anything else your child may need while at church. Labels are provided at the classroom door to label any item that does not have your childā€™s name on it.Ā

Walkers/2'sĀ

Children who are confident walkers and 2-year-olds join their peers and leaders in the Walkers/2's group.Ā Children remain with this group until the September following their 3rd birthday. Through developmentally-appropriate music, stories, play, and a variety of other activities, children explore Bible stories as they develop friendships with each other and relationships with loving, caring adult leaders who model following Jesus. Children are introduced to ā€œOllieā€ through a 5 minute video presentation of the Bible story each Sunday. Please bring a bag with a change of clothes, diapers (if needed), and anything else your child may need while at church. You do not need to provide a sippy cup. Please be sure that all items are labeled with your childā€™s name. For children who are or are in the process of being potty-trained, ā€œPotty Pleaseā€ stickers are available at the classroom door.Ā

Preschool (3 prior to Nov. 1, 2022 ā€“ pre-k)

Children who were or will be 3 prior to November move to the Preschool program when the new year begins in August and remain in this program until the summer before they enter kindergarten. Preschool children participate in the first part of the worship service (generally through the first two songs) with their families before being dismissed for Kairos Kids. Each child is assigned to a small group of approximately 8 children and remains with that group for the school year. Each small group is led by small group leaders who are passionate about and committed to helping children know and follow Jesus. Through a variety of engaging small group activities and a large group time (creative presentation of the story and prayer), preschoolers explore the Bible teaching and apply it to their lives while building friendships with each other and developing relationships with their leaders.Ā

3 Basic Truths

  1. I can trust God no matter what.
  2. I need to make the wise choice.
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Kindergarten ā€“ 3rd grade

Children in kindergarten through 3rd grade participate in the first part of the worship service before going downstairs with their leaders for a large group time of creative teaching of the dayā€™s scripture and bottom line, followed by a variety of experiences and activities in their small groups. Small group time is designed to help children develop relationships with each other and their adult leaders as they explore the Bible teaching and apply it to their lives. Leaders partner with parents as they encourage to follow Jesus in their daily lives.

4th and 5th Grade
Preteens in grades 4 ā€“ 5 participate in the first part of the worship service before going downstairs with their leaders. Through creative teaching and a variety of whole group and small group activities and conversations designed for preteens, the kids and their leaders explore Bible passages and their application. Leaders strive to develop strong relationships with the preteens and their families and to foster healthy relationships among the children. Opportunities for fellowship and serving together outside of Sunday mornings promote these relationships. In partnership with parents, children are encouraged as they follow in the way of Jesus in their families, schools, and communities.
