Miriam grew up in California, moving several times during her childhood as her Dad followed his pastoral call. Little did she know these moves would shape one of her greatest passionsāhelping others cultivate a sense of community and belonging in the church. Miriam is a graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, and Fuller Theological Seminary, where she recently finished her Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Spirituality. Prior to joining the Kairos staff, she had a background in teaching, and has worked in a variety of ministry settings including Hume Lake Christian Camp, Menlo Church and Peachtree Presbyterian Church with youth, young adults and women. She enjoys teaching, leading and forming small groups, and creating environments where people encounter Jesus in a deeper way. A few things she lovesā¦ spending time with her family, running (and coaching Girls on the Run), hot yoga, reading a good book with a cup of good coffee in hand, celebrations of all kinds, and summertime when the neighborhood pool is open. Miriam and Joe (also on staff at Kairos) have been married for almost 15 years and have two kids, Ellie and Conner.
