Kairos Community,
This Sunday we begin Holy Week with our Palm Sunday Service. Like the crowds who gathered when Jesus entered Jerusalem, we too shout, âHosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.â
Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of Holy Week, the final week of Lent.
Below we have provided you with a worship service outline. We encourage you to set aside 30-40 minutes on Sunday morning for a time of worship, prayer and reflection on Godâs Word. This week, Drew will be preaching from Mark 11:1-11. We will learn how to Fast from a Big Life and Feast on a Big God. Below you will find a link to watch and listen to Drewâs sermon.

Opening Prayer
Lord, as we remember how Christ the King
entered Jerusalem to the sound of joyful shouts,
increase our faith and listen to our prayers,
so that we may praise you every day,
by living always in him.
For he lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.

Rejoice greatly, O people of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you.
He is righteous and victorious,
yet he is humble, riding on a donkeyâ

Today we honor you, Lord,

Scripture â Mark 11:1-11
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, âGo to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, âWhy are you doing this?â say, âThe Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.ââ
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, âWhat are you doing, untying that colt?â 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
âHosanna!â
âBlessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!â
10 âBlessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!â
âHosanna in the highest heaven!â
11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
